After cutting the red tape, Al-Jasser took the invited guests in a tour inside the new building and then handed them memorial gifts on the occasion.
Then a short documentary film was played in the celebration hall and a brief historical background on Saudi Airlines operations in Sudan was presented.
In his speech, Eng. Al-Jasser said “Saudi Arabia is keen to provide the perfect working environment for its employees so it established and renovated many buildings inside the Kingdom and around the world and today we are happy to launch our latest office in Khartoum which accommodates all departments and services in one place.”
He said that the building has been designed by SAUDIA’s engineers in the sister company Saudi Airline Company for Real Estates Development (SARED).
Al-Jasser stressed on the strong ties between the two nations. He said that the rapid development in air transportation between Sudan and Saudi Arabia helped strengthening the relations.
He said that the operations between Sudan and Saudi Arabia has witnessed a significant increase that in 2009 162 thousand guests were transported on 665 flights and in 2014 356 thousand guests were transported on 1199 flights, an increase of 119% in guests number and 80% in flights number.
He said that so far in 2015 there is an increase of 37% in flights number and 21% in guests number compared to the same period in 2014.
