Badur A. al-Olayan, the Managing Director of the strategic unit in PSAA, and a multitude of senior officials in the academy. The British consul eulogized the academy and lauded its advanced and comprehensive programs provided to Flight Deck Crew, Cabin Crew and flight operations service and flight safety personnel, and CRM (Crew Resource Management).

Al-Olayan provided an interesting visual presentation showing the history of the academy since the launch of the first Pilot training Institute in 1959, and the establishment of the Flight Operations Training Center in 1979, till the launch of the Academy in 2004 which is turned to a Strategic Business Unit in 2010. The guests toured the different facilities academy, which include: Cabin Emergency Evacuation Trainers, Flight Simulators, Computer Based Training Stations, and Classrooms.

Al-Olyan stated that “the Academy plays a great role in qualifying not only Saudi cadres but also the staff of other airlines companies by providing them with professional and quality aviation training in compliance with international regulations.” Furthermore, he showed the guests the equipment and facilities of the academy which include: 7 Full Flight Simulators, 4 Flight Training Devices, 3 Flight Management System Trainers, B787 Dreamliner Simulator, B777-300ER Simulator, and door training systems. He clarified that the training programs and methodology are recognized internationally by Boeing, Airbus, EASA, and GACA. To maintain the high quality of the administrative process, training, and support business operations, ISO9001:2008 certificate has been renovated to the new version of the standard ISO9001: 2015.
