It is worth mentioning that Guangzhou is Saudi Arabian Airlines’ first station in China for passenger flights. However, it has been operating cargo flights to the country with four flights weekly to Shanghai. There are plans to increase the number of cargo flights considering the growing traffic of goods between the two economic giants.
Saudi Arabian Airlines currently operates flights to (26) domestic and (54) international destinations in addition to the extra flights it operate from other stations during the Haj season, bringing the total to more than (100) destinations worldwide. It has restructured its flight network in order to make maximum utilization of its modern fleet of aircraft, which has been recently beefed up by (40) Airbus planes from the newly purchased (88) Airbus and Boeing aircraft.
