New medical service unit at KAIA opens

.

Mr. Khaled Al-Molhem, Director General of Saudi Arabian Airlines, opened a new medical service unit at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah recently in order to serve more than 6,000 employees of Maintenance, Cargo and Passenger Services at the airport’s terminals.

Al-Molhem toured the different departments of the medical facility, which is provided with advanced equipment and facilities. The new medical unit would help Saudia employees receive medical services at their work place and they need not go to the airline’s main Medical Service Center.

The new unit has three clinics in addition to an emergency room, beds for diagnosis, special operation rooms to deal with burns, injuries and broken limbs apart from a laboratory and a pharmacy. The three clinics will operate around the clock and seven days of the week.
It offers the services of a team of doctors specialized in dermatology, neurology, brain health and internal medicine. It also has an ambulance to transport patients.
A lot of developments have taken place at the Medical Service Center last year. It has recruited a number of specialized doctors including naturopathy specialists, modernized its naturopathy section and aviation medicine and developed its emergency section appointing specialist doctors.
