“The women’s section has been provided with all necessary facilities,” Mr. Al-Balawi said, adding that it was designed to reflect the airline’s new identity. It is provided with self-service machines, computers and a department to serve Alfursan members and First and Business Class passengers.
SAUDIA has deployed 12 female employees at the women’s section, the VP said, adding that they have been trained on Amadeus electronic booking and ticketing system. They have also attended a number of training courses on how to serve customers.
“They extend various services to female passengers and visitors independently,” Al-Balawi said. This is the second office for women in Riyadh after the opening of a similar office at Princess Nora bint Abdulrahman University in the capital city.
SAUDIA has so far established four women’s offices across the Kingdom, including two in Jeddah’s Rowdha District and Hera Market. These offices operate from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Sunday through Thursday.
Mr. Al-Balawi said SAUDIA would continue its efforts to develop and modernize its offices inside and outside Saudi Arabia by providing all modern facilities required by passengers.
“SAUDIA intends to develop its service systems using modern information technology to enhance its services through the website, the unified call center and mobile phone in order to facilitate travel and expand automatic services to save time and energy of customers,” he said.
