CBD of Saudi Airlines in an Induction Visit

His Excellency Dr. Ghassan A. al-Shibl, chairman of the Board of Directors (CBD) of Saudi Airlines, affirmed that Saudia looks set to continue its corporatization plan and implement the initiatives of SV2020 aiming at modernizing the fleet, increasing seating capacity, improving operational efficiency, diversifying products, and developing services to keep pace with the changing needs of the hyper dynamic market.

On his Induction visit accompanied by His Excellency Eng. Saleh N. al-Jasser, al-Shibl avouched that Saudia plays a strategic role in developing national air transportation, supporting the national economy and contributing in achieving the Kingdom Vision 2030. During the visit, an interesting visual presentation was provided showing the progress of SV2020 transformation program.al-Shibl stressed the importance of continuing the march and doubling efforts to meet the requirement of the rapidly-changing hyper-competitive aviation industry.

Al-Shibl started his visit with a tour of Prince Sultan Aviation Academy (PSAA) where he reviewed its advanced programs, innovative capabilities, and national and international certifications and licenses. After that, al-Shibl and al-Jasser visited Air Service Academy where he toured training classrooms and cabins and met group of trainees and wished them good luck.

The visit coincided with the graduation of class 39, who completed their theoretical and practical training and will be appointed as flight attendants in Saudia.

The program of the second day included a visit to the facilities of Saudia Private Aviation (SPA) where a presentation is provided showing the history of the company, its development, and activities. Moreover, al-Shibl reviewed the products of SPA, which include ALBAYRAQ flights between Riyadh and Jeddah. He, also, toured Saudia operations building in King Abdulaziz International Airport, and concluded his visit in Saudia Catering Company. At the end of his visit, Al-Shibl lauded the efforts of Saudia and urged the staff to galvanize their efforts to achieve further progress.
