Saudia Received Delivery of 3 New Airliners

1st of February, 2017 _ Saudi Arabian Airlines keeps on track and continues the journey of success with the arrival of its 11th A330-300R to King Abdulaziz International Airport, Jeddah. B777-300 equipped with first class suites was the first new airliner delivered on 2017, followed by the single-aisle A320ceo. Moreover, another (29) new airliners will be delivered during the current year, (7) of them are B787-9, (5) B777-300 equipped with first class suites, (9) A330-300R, and (8) A320ceo.

His Excellency Eng. Saleh N. al-Jasser, the Director General of Saudia, declared that “the arrival of the new airliners is an inherent part of the transformational process. We are witnessing the most important transformational shift in the overall history of Saudia, as its strategic plan SV2020 aims to double in 7 years what has been achieved in 70 years by doubling the fleet to 200 aircrafts by 2020, operating to new international destinations, enhancing seating capacity, and developing services”.

“The new airliners,” al-Jasser continued, “will support our operational performance, enhance seating capacity on domestic routes, and expand the international network as we now operated flights to both Multan and Port Sudan, in addition to scheduling flights between Riyadh and Manchester. The new airliners delivered on 2016 contributed greatly in boosting the operational performance internationally and domestically, increasing seating capacity up to 16%, and launching new international destinations to Maldives, Munich, Ankara, and Algiers.”
