




During the executive meeting, the procedures implemented to activate preventive and predictive safety principle have been reviewed. Ali Al-Najrani, the general manager of guests’ service and sales in Saudia, gave a speech where he talked about the latest statistics of performance, compared it to the previous ones, and epitomized the operational plans of 2017 and the expected challenges.
Al-Jasser, also, gave another speech, emphasizing the significance of the meeting, stressing the importance of guests-focus, and summarizing the strategy of the company in five main elements, include: (1) increasing fleet, flights, seating capacity and guests; (2) enhancing operational and productive efficiency; (3) developing of e-service, (4) harmonizing the products with the guests’ needs; (5) developing the regulatory environment of human, financial and technical resources.
In his speech, Capt. Ibrahim Keshi, VP_Safety and Quality, illustrated the stages of the workshop and the inspectional duties of teams. After that, Saudia’s executives conducted their field tours to ensure the implementation of required procedures, discussed the results, and provided suggestions. This, in turn, contributes in the overcoming challenges, informing the staff with the latest developments of the transformation programs and answering their questions, discovering talented young leaders and giving them the opportunity to contribute to the development of performance.
It is worth mentioning that the executives’ field tours aims to assess and provide suggestions to develop the service, determine the factors that need to be corrected or modified, improve working environment, establish a direct link between staff and leaders, identify main challenges, find creative solutions, and expand the scope of SV2020 initiatives.
The program is mainly based on four methods: reviewing the facilities and operational needs, determining priorities, conducting general inspections, and taking stock of the recommendations.
On the side of the workshop, al-Jasser and his companions met the director general of KFIA, Turkey al-Jawini, where they discussed the avenues of cooperation between the administration of the airport and Saudia in order to provide the best service ever to the guests and enhance operational efficiency.
It is noteworthy that Jazan was the first station of the series of tours scheduled to cover a specific number of stations monthly to monitor performance, enhance service level, and to ensure safety procedures are followed.
