Graduation of Aviation Scholarship and Future Pioneers

Under the patronage of the Chairman of the Board of Director, Dr. Ghassan al-Shibl, and with the presence of His Excellency Eng. Saleh al-Jasser, the Director General of Saudia, a ceremony was held on 19th of March 2017 to celebrate the graduation of 113 trainees of both the second class of aviation scholarship, and the eighth class of Future Pioneers program.

The ceremony started with a recitation of some verses fromthe Holy Qur’an, followed by a speech by Abdulaziz al-Attas, who spoke on behalf of his colleagues of Future Pioneers Program, expressing their pleasure and honor for joining this unique and highly valuable program which over-qualified them and provide them with skills that exceeds the current requirements of the market.

After that, the co-pilot Adel al-Jifn gave a speech on behalf of the alumni of the aviation scholarship, expressing how the dream of flying became true thanks to the holistic and the complementary program which enrich their experiences and expand their vision.

Dr. Omar A. Jifferi, the Senior Consultant of the DG and the supervisor of scholarship program, also, gave an interesting speech affirming that this proudest Saudi cadre will enhance Saudia’s position and its ability to accomplish its ambitious transformational programs, since human resources iskey to organizational success.

Eng. Saleh al-Jasser gave an inspiring speech lauded the unceasing and assiduousefforts of the Board of Directors in accomplishing the initiatives of Saudia’s Transformational Strategy SV2020 which aims at achieving a comprehensive and sustainable development through investing in human capital, developing services and e-services, modernizing and expanding the network, enhancing the fleet, increasing seating capacity, and diversifying revenues.

Al-Jasser affirmed that “human resources is the real national wealth. They are the builders of the future and the partners who will enable Saudia to continue to be a trailblazer in aviation world.That’s why Saudia is focusing greatly on investment of human capital by conducting advanced training programs in cooperation with the most prestigious universities and training centers, both inside and outside the Kingdom.Now, we are conducting the largest scholarship program ever in the history of Saudia aiming to qualify 5.000 students to be specialized in aviation and aircraft maintenance, 354 of them have been already dispatched”

Al-Jasser declared that in less than a year, Saudia has assigned 156 co-pilots who were graduated from Aviation Sciences Program, in addition to 140 trainees graduated from Future Pioneers Program. He concluded his speech by affirming that Saudia is looking set to continue its transformational Program, thanks to God, then to the support of its Board of Directors.

The ceremony concluded with Dr. al-Shibl handing graduation certifications to the graduates, and congratulating them saying: “I would like to express my appreciation to this particular achievement which resulting in qualifying our national cadre. All of you do us proud. Moreover, I am really pleased by what Saudia has achieved either in enhancing its fleet and diversifying its revenues, or in developing its services, and expanding its network in a way that achieve unprecedented operational ratio”.
