Al-Jasser gave a speech introducing the Code to Saudia’s employees: “ This Code was designed to offer guidance to help employees recognize and deal with ethical issues, provide mechanisms for employees to report unethical conduct and conflict of interests, and foster a culture of honesty and accountability. There is no single Code that addresses all situations. Each employee must act ethically and with good faith. When in doubt, you must immediately seek guidance from your direct supervisors and/or the integrity hotline established for this particular reason.”

Al-Salami confirmed that the Business Ethics and Conflict of Interests Code is one of the creative initiatives of transformation program which is being implemented by Saudia and its Strategic Business Units ( SBUs) and affiliates. He clarifies that the code contains the policies that relate to the legal and ethical standards of conduct that the company, and Employees of the company are expected to comply with while carrying out their duties and responsibilities on behalf of Saudi Arabian Airlines. Al-Salami emphasized that this Code is intended to focus the attention of all employees at all levels on areas of ethical risk, provide guidance to personnel to help them recognize and deal with ethical issues, provide mechanisms to report unethical conduct, and help to foster a culture of integrity and accountability.

Al-Salami illustrates that “this Code covers a wide range of business practices. It does not cover every issue that may arise, but it sets out basic principles to guide all employees of the Company. All employees must conduct themselves accordingly and seek to avoid even the appearance of improper behavior. The Code should also be provided to and followed by Company’s agents and representatives.”

The Code encompasses four parts, include: Business Ethics Policy, Conflict of Interest Policy, Inside Trading Policy, and Integrity Hotline Policy.
