Saudia Partners with King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language
A Collaborative Effort to Elevate Arabic Language Awareness

Saudia, the national flag carrier of Saudi Arabia, has partnered with the King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language (KSGAAL) to enhance Arabic language proficiency within Saudia’s operations and provide top-tier education and training services, aligned with industry best practices.
The agreement was signed by Engr. Abdullah Alshahrani, General Manager of Communication and Media Affairs at Saudia Group, and Dr. Saad bin Mohammed Al-Qahtani, Head of the Educational Programs Sector at KSGAAL.
This partnership represents a shared commitment to advancing Arabic language initiatives and highlighting its cultural significance. Through this collaboration, Saudia will feature diverse educational content on its BEYOND in-flight entertainment system, highlighting the beauty of Arabic and fostering cultural enrichment. The initiative also includes the development of digital training programs to enhance Arabic language skills among Saudia’s employees, including non-native speakers.
A central feature of the partnership is KSGAAL’s commitment to providing free-of-charge content for Saudia’s BEYOND in-flight entertainment system. This content is designed to immerse guests in the aesthetics of the Arabic language, offering a unique cultural experience during their journey.
To further celebrate Arabic, Saudia has seamlessly integrated Arabic calligraphy into its digital interfaces. The Arabic names of content categories are prominently displayed alongside guests’ chosen international languages, ensuring a seamless cultural connection. A custom font inspired by traditional Arabic calligraphy has been specially designed for this initiative. This bespoke free-form font reflects the elegance and fluidity of handwritten calligraphy, blending ancient traditions with modern digital expression.
